For Palos Verdes residents who are looking for a way to get active, the PV Walkers club is the perfect place to start. Meeting every Wednesday at the Promenade on the Peninsula at 9 a.m., the group offers more than just a location to walk.

PV Walkers offers all new members a welcome gift, a mileage card to chart your progress and quarterly healthcare seminars with Providence Little Company of Mary. Each week, the walkers also convene for coffee at the Peninsula Seniors Scriba Family Center after exercising. Membership is free and members are awarded for their mileage at each quarterly breakfast meeting. Call 310-541-0688 x502 for more information on joining PV Walkers.

“What I like about this program is it is run by professionals so they know what they are doing, and it is good for all levels. It is a combination of stretching and aerobics a great variety of exercises not just walking.” — PV Walker Participant
