A Night of Art and Community

The Palos Verdes Art Center was filled with energy, color, and community spirit on May 14 as members gathered for the 2026 PCCH Art Contest. Once again, Lisa and Chuck Noski generously sponsored this beloved annual event, making it possible for members to enjoy an evening of artistry, conversation, snacks, and a glass of wine while browsing this year’s outstanding collection of equestrian-themed work.

Capturing the Spirit of the Show

This year’s contest drew 23 entries from talented local artists, each work of art capturing a different facet of the horse show world — from soaring jumps and tender stable moments to quiet portraits of horse and rider. Fifty-two PCCH members turned out to view the entries and cast their votes for their favorites, making for a lively and well-attended evening.

Beyond the Gallery, Art for a Cause

As always, the winning art pieces will take on a life of their own beyond the gallery walls. They’ll be featured in PBNHS publicity. Keep an eye out for them on the horse show poster, in the program and at the Haylee Boutique at this year’s 68th Portuguese Bend National Horse Show, September 4th – 6th at Ernie Howlet Park in Rolling Hills Estates.
