On March 26, 2026, the South Bay Cities Council of Governments (SBCCOG) hosted its 26th Annual General Assembly, bringing together regional leaders, policymakers, and community stakeholders for a day of collaboration and forward-looking discussion.
Centered on the theme, “Let the Games Begin: How Sports and Entertainment are Shaping the South Bay,” the event highlighted the region’s growing role on the global stage as Los Angeles prepares for the FIFA World Cup 2026, Super Bowl LXI, and the 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.
