The 32nd Annual Seahorse Classic
Another Impressive Round for a Wonderful Cause!
By any scorecard, the 32nd Annual Seahorse Classic Golf Tournament, held once again at the picturesque Palos Verdes Golf Club, was a smashing success. Golfers dressed in their festive best were treated to a pleasant spring day full of fun on the links starting with a delicious barbecue lunch, tricky 75-yard putting competition, exciting helicopter ball drop and the tournament’s traditional merry bagpiper shotgun start. A competitive skins game ensued, as did challenging hole-in-one prize opportunities, a veritable “shotgun” par-5 drive and closest to the pin and longest drive contests. The day concluded with a jovial cocktail party reception in the club’s charming gardens and bar foyer. Hosted by the Peninsula Committee Children’s Hospital (PCCH), all proceeds from the Seahorse Classic go to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). Since its inception in 1957, PCCH has raised over 19 million dollars for CHLA.
