Playgrounds / Parks

Robert E Ryan Community Park

This spacious park has lots to offer and is fun for the young and older kids. The 2 playgrounds are suitable for small kids, on the big grass area you can see frisbees flying around, footballs thrown, cartwheels turned and soccer balls kicked. I’m guilty of all these activities!
The park also has a full basketball court, a baseball field and BBQ areas so this is a winner in my books!

This former elementary school site’s amenities include a parking lot, restrooms, paddle tennis courts, tot lot, playground and basketball court. This location also has a multipurpose room and classroom available for rental for meetings and private parties. There are excellent views of the cliff face, hillsides, coastline and ocean. Dogs must be on a leash.

Rocketship Park

This park is technically located in Torrance but just on the border and is worth mentioning due to its breathtaking panoramic view of LA; on a clear day you can see as far as the Santa Monica Bay to the Getty Center, the Hollywood sign, and Griffith Park Observatory. Los Arboles Park (aka Rocketship Park) is located by Riviera Elementary School. Park amenities include play equipment, a swing set, and of course the four level Rocketship.
