PEF Major Donor Reception 2025

Peninsula Education Foundation hosted its annual Major Donor Reception last month to honor the community members whose generosity supports vital programs, staff, and opportunities for students across all 17 Palos Verdes public schools. Donors, district leaders, and board members gathered to celebrate the impact of giving and express gratitude for the support that keeps PVPUSD schools strong.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the 2025 Sam Goldberg Award to Chuck Miller, a tireless advocate for public education for over 36 years. Chuck is a former Rancho Vista Elementary principal, past PEF President, and longtime supporter of students, teachers, and schools. In 1990, he helped establish the Chuck Miller Teacher Grant Program, which continues to fund innovative and enriching classroom experiences.

For 46 years, PEF has stood beside our schools to ensure every student has access to an exceptional public education. It is our community’s generosity that keeps our schools among the best in California. When we invest in education, we shape futures. To learn more or donate, visit pvpef.org.
