This November, The Peninsula Chapter of National Charity League, Inc. celebrated the kick-off of the holiday season with three events in the spirit of gratitude and giving in our community. The festivities began with the annual Holiday Faire, held at The Ticktocker Thrift Shop in San Pedro, to support scholarships and philanthropies. The second event was held in support of Century Villages at Cabrillo, Peninsula Chapter mothers and daughters gathered for “Operation NC-Elves.” Members donated gifts, which the “elves” assembled into over 100 stockings filled with gift cards, plush toys, and card games. The jolly elves also stuffed over 100 candy-filled stockings and holiday cards to be donated to The Beacon House. The spirit of giving continued with the collection and assembly of 66 bags Thanksgiving meals, delivered to Community’s Child, House of Yaweh, Rainbow Shelter, Boys and Girls Club, and 1736 House.
