Cancer Support Community South Bay’s beloved Girls Night Out made its long-awaited return to the Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach on October 22, 2025. The sold-out event raised $148,000 to fund the organization’s free support programs for cancer patients and their families. More than 200 guests came together for an uplifting evening of laughter, inspiration, and community spirit.
The program featured an energetic comedy lineup, cocktails, dinner, and both live and silent auctions. Hermosa Beach Interim City Manager and longtime CSC South Bay supporter Steve Napolitano led the live auction, keeping the crowd engaged and entertained. Participant speaker Trina Miyahara shared her family’s powerful story of hereditary breast cancer and the vital role CSC South Bay played in their healing journey.

Girls Night Out has always been a much-loved tradition, and seeing it return with such energy and support was truly inspiring,” said CSC South Bay Executive Director Jillian Van Leuven. We are so grateful to our sponsors, volunteers, and the incredible attendees whose generosity ensures that our community can continue receiving the support they need. This event was a wonderful reminder of the strength and love that surrounds our organization.”
