Torrance Memorial Medical Center and Cancer Support Community South Bay came together to celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day with a festive Hawaiian luau at the Torrance Memorial Hunt Cancer Center on Sunday, June 1. The event paid tribute to cancer survivors, provided inspiration to those newly diagnosed, and served as a gathering of hope and connection for the community. More than 200 cancer survivors, along with their families and friends dressed in Hawaiian-themed attire, enjoyed an afternoon of healthy refreshments, creative crafts, wellness resources, entertainment, raffle prizes, and more in a festive outdoor setting. National Cancer Survivors Day shines a spotlight on survivorship, celebrating life beyond cancer and showing the world that life after a cancer diagnosis can be fruitful, fulfilling, and inspiring.
