2508 Paseo Del Mar

A home that was once hidden with overgrown land-scape was transformed into a beautifully open front yard oasis .The design goal was to create a relaxed front porch lifestyle. One that would allow the home- owners visit with neighbors walking by, enjoy the tranquil ocean view, as well as the beautiful Lunada Bay sunsets.

We call this “front porch living” at its best. To create the homeowner’s dream outdoor living space, the LCD team extended the existing front porch to create a gathering place for family and friends with seating around a stone covered fire pit. The organically shaped stone facade and walkway incorporate a natural look. A corten steel water feature wraps around the perimeter creating the sound of a running river.

Half-moon raised flower beds hold native drought tolerant plants to create a beautiful contrast with the stone and steel facade. The sheltered moon garden is filled with white flowering plants that attract native butterflies and birds. This quaint corner is the perfect place to relax, lounge, or just sit awhile
