PVPHS High School Students and Staff Walk to Support Cancer Patients

On March 18, Palos Verdes Peninsula High School hosted the 20th annual “Walk for Life” to fundraise for cancer patients through Cancer Support Community South Bay and City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center in Duarte, Calif. Nearly 1,000 students, faculty and staff members participated in the walk, which raised a total of $40,000 to be split evenly between the two organizations. The walk included a ceremony that featured a speech from a student about loss due to cancer, a floral tribute to those impacted by cancer and shouts of hope as students threw purple powder.
