At the gala\, we will be honoring former LA City Councilman Joe Buscaino\, a native of San Pedro\, who has been a champion of Grand Vision and the Warner Grand Theatre for many years. He was instrumental in launching the Warner Grand Theatre’s current major renovation during his time in office.\n\n\n\n\n\nDress: Mid-century Vegas\, with a Sinatra twist\n\n\n\n\n\nProceeds benefit live music at the Grand Annex Music Hall; Meet the Music\, our music education program serving 2\,500+ Harbor area students annually; and restoration of the historic Warner Grand Theatre.

Tickets may be purchased as follows: Make checks ($100 per person) payable to Palos Verdes Peninsula Rotary Foundation\, and mail to: Julia Parton\, Malaga Bank\, 27450 Hawthorne Blvd.\, Rolling Hills Estates\, CA 90274.\n\n\n\n\n\nIn conjunction with Educator of the Year\, our Rotary Club also raises funds to provide college\, vocational and Stem scholarships. These funds are awarded annually from the Club Foundation to capable students in need from the Peninsula and the LA Harbor Boys and Girls Club. Over the last ten years the Club had distributed $460\,000 for such scholarships. Our Rotary Club is immensely grateful to those that contribute to this important Peninsula tradition. DESCRIPTION:Our 42nd Annual Educator of the Year celebration will once again be held live at Palos Verdes Golf Club. It will be live gala event\, and we are so excited to be able to gather and mingle with some of the most awesome people on our Peninsula. Honoring Peninsula teachers is one the great privileges of Rotarians here at the the PVP Club. We will introduce you to the nine educators of merit and distinction that will be honored as Educators of the Year.\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Palos Verdes Peninsula Rotary Club has presented these honors for four decades\, for the most part under the leadership of Ms. Joan Behrens chairing the EOTY Committee and Masters of Ceremonies.\n\n\n\n\n\nFor information on attending or making a donation to help fund future Rotary Scholarships email Sponsorship Chairs at sponsorship.eoty@gmail.com.
