This scenic trail run/walk offers the natural beauty of the Palos Verdes horse trails\, shaded eucalyptus groves\, and gently rolling hills. Participants of all ages and fitness levels are welcome. You can register on the website.\n\n\n\n\n\nYour registration includes a premium race t-shirt\, custom finished medal\, chip-timed results\, music by a DJ\, raffle prizes\, and access to the vendor expo. Awards will be given for each age division. Proceeds support Strides in Recovery\, a local nonprofit helping people in treatment programs strengthen their recovery through goal-oriented running and walking clubs.\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent day also features a shoe donation drive (bring new or gently used running shoes for participants in need) and special perks for team sign-ups. A virtual option is available for those unable to attend in person.\n\n\n\n\n\nPacket pickup and onsite registration begin at 6:30 AM. Runners start at 8:00 AM; walkers being at 8:10 AM.

This event is scheduled for September 29 at Ernie Howlett Park\, promising a morning of camaraderie\, accomplishment\, and the beauty of the area’s horse trails.\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Palos Verdes Trails 5K will include participants from Strides in Recovery’s signature program\, clients from addiction treatment programs across Los Angeles County who are using running to build physical\, mental\, and emotional resilience. They will run alongside hundreds of local community members\, symbolizing the power of solidarity and collective support for people in recovery.\n\n\n\n\n\n“Our program is about so much more than running\,” says Leslie Gold\, Executive Director of Strides in Recovery. “It’s about helping people rebuild their lives.
