Peninsula Committee LA Philharmonic Speaker Series & Summer Rhapsody Fundraiser

On Sunday August 25th the Peninsula Committee hosted Summer Rhapsody, an exclusive fundraiser at the beautiful home Debby McDonald in Rolling Hills, featuring two premier LA Phil musicians and supporting the Los Angeles Philharmonic Youth Orchestra Los Angeles (YOLA). Sixty guests were welcomed with Champagne and sparkling drinks then seated indoors for an exclusive musical performance. The lucky attendees were privileged to hear performances from Carolyn Hove, English Horn and Joanne Pearce Martin, Keyboards, two world renowned musicians. After the concert, everyone enjoyed wine, hors d’oeuvres and lively conversation with our guest performers and other attendees outdoors on the patio, while admiring the spectacular views of the canyon and South Bay coastline. Everyone enjoyed the casual elegance of the event and getting to know our special LA Phil performers. The proceeds from the event will support the Youth Orchestra Los Angeles (YOLA) by improving opportunities and lives of young musicians.

On September 16, 2024, PCLAP held a Speaker Series event at the Pacific Unitarian Church in Rancho Palos Verdes. The event featured Derek Traub, LA Philharmonic Manager, Philanthropy Communications, who presented “100 Year History of the LA Phil”.
