The Palos Verdes Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual 2025 Salute to Business and Citizen of the Year Awards on Thursday, November 21, 2024. This celebration brought together business leaders, community members, and nonprofit organizations to honor the outstanding contributions of this year’s award recipients. Recognized for their exceptional achievements in their respective fields, the Excellence in Business Awardees included Lieb, Cody & Co, Certified Public Accountants; Good Stuff PV; and Jane Lau of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services. Top Tyr Training was named Best New Business, while the Peninsula Friends of the Library earned the distinction of Nonprofit of the Year. The Peninsula Committee for the Los Angeles Philharmonic was honored as Community Organization of the Year. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Citizen of the Year award to Robert Medawar. His extraordinary contributions to the Palos Verdes community, both through his business and philanthropic endeavors, were met with resounding applause and admiration.
