At Mass Liberation, we believe public safety starts with stability and dignity. As a grassroots nonprofit, we provide housing and holistic reentry services for people returning home from incarcerationâthose who are often locked out of opportunity due to stigma and systemic barriers.
Our transitional homes are safe, affirming spaces designed specifically for long-term incarcerated individuals and our LGBTQIA+ community members. But we donât stop there. We confront one of the toughest challenges in California: securing housing with a felony conviction. Traditional landlords often require high incomes and clean recordsârequirements that leave many of our people homeless or at risk of recidivism.
To combat this, we sublease rooms and partner with property owners who share our mission, removing the red tape and discrimination that too often stand in the way of a fresh start.
