After La Venta Inn closed in March of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the future of the inn was uncertain. Meg Walker, CEO and Executive Chef of Made by Meg, recently became the lessee, operator and exclusive caterer for the Inn, giving it a chance at a new life. When asked about the Inn, Meg said she is “committed to preserving the appearance of the iconic landmark and maintaining its notable lush and plentiful landscaping.”

For a refresh of the interior of the building, she has partnered with local interior designer Dannielle Albrecht. “The interior changes are all cosmetic and honor the property’s long history,” Albrecht said.
