Tinkerbelle is a twelve-year-old miniature horse who has a mind of her own! Tinkerbell’s owner, Kate Koeberle, has always had an enormous love for animals. Kate is in seventh grade, but already has her own little farm. Tinkerbell is super special to Kate because she has had her for over four years. When Kate was small enough to ride Tinkerbell, she taught her how to jump and barrel race. When things went wrong Kate knew it was not a far drop to the ground! Tinkerbell was born in Solvang, California at the Quicksilver Miniature Horse Ranch. Since then, Tinkerbell has lived with three different families in Rolling Hills Estates. Kate got Tinkerbell as her 8th birthday gift, and the two have been inseparable since. One of Kate’s favorite memories with Tinkerbell was when the two participated in a Gymkhana event at the Dapplegray riding arena. She was the smallest horse there, and a huge hit among the other participants. The funniest part was that they did not have a trailer to transport Tinkerbell, so she traveled to and from the event in the back of a minivan. Kate admits Tinkerbell is extremely bossy. The small pony likes to open doors and hang out inside the house with the family. Kate has come home many times after school and found her in the family room. The family believes that Tinkerbell would run the house if she could, and probably wants a room of her own. Kate feels extremely lucky to have made so many memories with Tinkerbell over the last four years, and cannot wait to make many more!
