Palos Verdes, CA – December 8, 2024 – The Ryan family home transformed into a winter wonderland on Sunday, December 8th, as over 500 guests gathered to honor a year of dedication and service by the Peninsula Chapter of the National Charity League (NCL). Since June 1, members have volunteered over 12,500 hours to local causes, and the annual holiday tea served as a festive culmination of their efforts. The event celebrated community service, family traditions, and personal growth, with Ticktockers inviting special guests such as aunts, grandmothers, and mentors. Three generations of members and ten former chapter presidents joined the gathering, embodying the enduring legacy of leadership and service.
This year, seventh, ninth, and eleventh-grade Ticktockers hosted the tea, serving their peers, mothers, and guests while refining their etiquette and hospitality skills. The event provided older Ticktockers and guests a rare moment to relax, reflect on shared experiences, and enjoy the camaraderie of their NCL community. This cherished tradition fosters personal development, reinforces the value of gratitude and service, and highlights the joy of giving back. The NCL Peninsula Chapter extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed and looks forward to another year of friendship and leadership.
