Dr. Eileen Bjorkman, Colonel USAF (ret) will tell the story of the women who kicked open the door for others to follow in combat roles as well as the myriad of women who broke down other aviation barriers in the decades previous. Women were not permitted to serve in direct combat roles based on the Combat Exclusion Policy from 1948.
