DESCRIPTION:The City of Torrance is proud to present the 4th of July Fireworks Show 2023! Attendance will be limited at select Civic Center Locations for viewing. Please check back for updates or subscribe to TorranceAlerts for the latest information. \n\n\n\nViewing locations are first come\, first served at the following locations (Click here for map): \n\n\n\nWest parking lot of the LA County Court House – 825 Maple Ave \n\n\n\nThe LA Galaxy Sports Complex – 555 Maple Ave \n\n\n\nThe LA Galaxy Sports Complex is a synthetic turf sports facility. The facility will be available for spectators beginning at 7 p.m.\, and will close approximately 30 minutes after the fireworks show is over. The field lights will be on until 5 minutes before the fireworks begin\, and will come back on immediately following the show so that spectators can gather their belongings and exit safely. \n\n\n\nTickets will not be issued for this year’s fireworks show. Spectators must be compliant with the rules of the facility at all times. There is a maximum capacity as identified by the Torrance Fire Marshall so we encourage you to get there on-time to enter. \n\n\n\nIf you would like to view the fireworks show from the LA Galaxy Sports Complex you are encouraged to bring a blanket and chairs with round bottom feet (i.e.\, beach chairs) to sit on the turf. DESCRIPTION:Join us at White Point Nature Preserve! We will be planting native plant species and/or removing invasive\, non-native plants to restore and improve critical habitat for wildlife at the preserve\, and beautify outdoor natural space for the community. \n\n\n\nBy volunteering you will help the Conservancy maintain and care for the White Point gardens by planting native shrubs\, removing invasive weeds\, watering\, or laying down mulch and more! \n\n\n\nYour efforts will help restore this habitat for wildlife as well as create a beautiful outdoor space for the community to enjoy! \n\n\n\nRated: Easy to Moderate activity \n\n\n\nPlease note that events may be cancelled due to weather conditions. Please check the event page at https://pvplc.volunteerhub.com before leaving for the event. \n\n\n\nPlease come prepared to work outdoors by wearing closed-toed shoes\, and by bringing sun protection\, drinking water and a snack. \n\n\n\nAll volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign and complete their release before they can volunteer.
