SUMMARY:International Coastal Cleanup Day at Founders Park with Los Serenos
DESCRIPTION:Join Los Serenos de Point Vicente Docents at International Coastal Cleanup Day.   \n\n\n\nCoastal Cleanup Day is an international day of action to protect our oceans\, watersheds\, and wildlife from trash and plastic pollution. Docents with Los Serenos de Point Vicente will be meeting at Founders Park this year and cleaning up the Rancho Palos Verdes Beach and Ocean Trails Reserve. We invite you to join us in protecting our local beach. \n\n\n\nUnder the guidance from the California Coastal Commission\, Heal the Bay has served as the Coastal Cleanup Day coordinator for all of Los Angeles for over 35 years. By lending a helping hand in the year’s beach clean-up efforts you will be taking care of our local marine life\, habitats\, and the ocean ecosystem. \n\n\n\nWhat to bring: bucket\, garden gloves\, sunscreen\, hat and refillable water bottle. Limited supplies will be available at our site\, but may run low. Route is on a steep pathway and sandy beach. DESCRIPTION:This show will feature dozens of award winning and blooming orchids on exhibit with both species and hybrids from various genera grown to perfection by orchid society members. Local California commercial growers\, and international nurseries and vendors will be offering a wide range and very unique selection of species and hybrid orchids of various genera and many companion plants to choose from. Many of the orchids can be grown outdoors in the Southern California area.Show and sale are both included with your paid entrance admission fee of $5.00/person payable at the entrance doors directly to the South Bay Orchid Society. Changes aim to improve donation management and continue vital support for PV Library District Programs! \n\n\n\nTo address the overwhelming volume of recent donations and associated safety concerns\, the Foundation is implementing the following changes: \n\n\n\n\nNew Donation Schedule: Donations will be accepted only on the second Saturday of themonth\, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.\n\n\n\nUpdated Donation Standards: All items must be in good condition (no damage\, mold\, orexcessive markings).\n\n\n\nNo Longer Accepted: Magazines\, periodicals\, and loose-leaf binders will no longer beaccepted.\n\n\n\n\nThe Foundation encourages the community to continue donating “gently used” books and media to help maintain these valued programs.
