This brand-new exhibit features eight monumental bird sculptures made from bamboo\, each with a unique personality and story to tell. But Bamboozled is far more than an art exhibit\, it transforms the Garden’s 87 acres into a whimsical\, interactive journey. Guests will follow the clatter of bamboo wind chimes as they search for each sculpture\, which are tucked throughout the Garden’s stunning landscape. Inspired by nature and rooted in traditional techniques learned in Taiwan\, their sustainable\, temporary works have appeared in 18 U.S. states and abroad. Dodson is drawn to the mystery of birds; Moerlein to nature’s dramatic\, visual stories.

Admission is free and sale takes place on Friday and Saturday.For more than 50 years Peninsula Friends of the Library monthly book sales have helped fund essential programs and Library services\, including Sunday hours\, children’s reading programs\, the Teen Annex\, and the expansion of the local history collection.Questions? 310-377-9584 x553 \n\n\n\nNew Book Donation Guidelines recently updated.  \n\n\n\nTo address the overwhelming volume of recent donations and associated safety concerns\, the Foundation is implementing the following changes: \n\n\n\n\nNew Donation Schedule: Donations will be accepted only on the second Saturday of themonth\, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.\n\n\n\nUpdated Donation Standards: All items must be in good condition (no damage\, mold\, orexcessive markings).\n\n\n\nNo Longer Accepted: Magazines\, periodicals\, and loose-leaf binders will no longer beaccepted.\n\n\n\n\nThe Foundation encourages the community to continue donating “gently used” books and media to help maintain these valued programs. Community members are asked to honor the new schedule and standards for the benefit of all.
