DESCRIPTION:Do you enjoy walking in our beautiful coastal environment?If so please join the docents from Los Serenos de Point Vicente for a walk through the Forrestal Nature Preserve. This is a guided walk which will appeal to a wide age range and offers some spectacular vistas of the coastline. The docents will be able to locate the local geology and there are many rock formations exposed in this area. You will also be able to learn about the plants and animals which make up our Coastal Sage Scrub habitat. The theme for this nature walk is “Geology”. This walk is generally of moderate difficulty although steep gradients and rough surfaces make a few limited sections more challenging. SUMMARY:Peninsula Committee Los Angeles Philharmonic presents Music in the Garden
DESCRIPTION:The Peninsula Committee LA Phil will present its annual Music in the Garden on Saturday\, March 28\, 2026\, from 11:00 p.m. to 4:00p.m. at South Coast Botanic Garden\, featuring performances by student musicians from South Bay area schools.Music in the Garden provides student orchestras and choral ensembles the opportunity to perform and showcase their talent in a beautiful outdoor setting. Participating schools include Casimir Intermediate School\, Miraleste Intermediate School\, Palos Verdes Intermediate School\, Palos Verdes High School\, Palos Verdes Peninsula High School\, and Ridgecrest Intermediate School.New this year\, the event will also include special guest performances by students from The Colburn School’s chamber music program and the Inner-City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles\, led by Charles E. Dickerson\, highlighting outstanding young musicians from across the region. \n\n\n\nThe event is included with general garden admission\, click here for ticket information for South Coast Botanic Garden.
