SUMMARY:Palos Verdes Peninsula Rotary Educator of the Year Awards Dinner
DESCRIPTION:Our 44th Annual Educator of the Year celebration will once again be held live at Palos Verdes Golf Club. We are so excited to be able to gather and mingle with some of the most awesome people on our Peninsula\, our educators. Honoring Peninsula teachers is one the great privileges of Rotarians here at the the PVP Rotary Club. We will introduce you to the nine educators of merit and distinction that will be honored as Educators of the Year. \n\n\n\nThe Palos Verdes Peninsula Rotary Club has had the privilege of hosting this event since 2009. Co-Chairs Joan Behrens and Rick Humphrey work with members of the PVP Rotary Club to present this annual event. \n\n\n\nWe invite members of the community to join us for this year’s Educator of the Year. Tickets may be purchased as follows: Make checks ($100 per person) payable to Palos Verdes Peninsula Rotary Foundation\, and mail to: Julia Parton\, Malaga Bank\, 27450 Hawthorne Blvd.\, Rolling Hills Estates\, CA 90274. \n\n\n\nIn conjunction with Educator of the Year\, our Rotary Club also raises funds to provide college\, vocational and Stem scholarships. These funds are awarded annually from the Club Foundation to capable students in need from the Peninsula and the LA Harbor Boys and Girls Club. Over the last ten years the Club had distributed $460\,000 for such scholarships. Our Rotary Club is immensely grateful to those that contribute to this important Peninsula tradition.
