DESCRIPTION:Toast on the Coast is the largest outdoor festival in Palos Verdes with live music\, gourmet food tastings\, premium wines\, craft beers and fun cocktails from top local restaurants and popular wineries and breweries. The event is from 2-6pm with food service from 2-5pm and special indulgences from 5-6pm. Bars will close at 6pm. All proceeds benefit the Peninsula Education Foundation whose primary mission is to elevate education to the 10\,000+ students in all 17 schools of the PVPUSD. \n\n\n\nTickets will go on sale on August 1\, 2023 at 10 am. \n\n\n\nTicket prices include unlimited tastings of food and beverages. General Admission $150\, VIP Lounge $250 and Private Cabana for 10 $4000. \n\n\n\nThe Estate Wine Dinner has been added this year by popular demand and is not to be missed. Immediately following the daytime wine and food festival\, we are excited to host a sit-down dinner adjacent to the festival with wine pairings\, live music\, live auction and paddle raise. \n\n\n\nThe reimagined wine dinner\, in lieu of the Main Event\, will be gorgeously set under twinkle lights on the exact location Palos Verdes was founded 100 years ago. This is a separately ticketed event from the Toast on the Coast daytime wine and food festival. A standalone dinner ticket is $350/person. A combination ticket for festival and dinner is $500/person.

SUMMARY:Washed Ashore Art to Save the Sea Exhibit and Adventure Tours
DESCRIPTION:Trash is making a splash in the Garden this spring. Come see beautiful sculptures made of “trashy” finds\, explore our “trashy” past\, and learn how we can all be a little less “trashy” with the Garden’s latest exhibit\, Washed Ashore – Art to Save the Sea. Sixteen giant creatures made from beach debris have washed ashore and landed at the Garden through September. \n\n\n\nWashed Ashore – Art to Save the Sea is a non-profit organization committed to combating plastic pollution through art and education. These 16 sculptures\, which consist primarily of sea creatures\, were built by the organization and its volunteers to inspire and spark positive changes in consumer habits. The Garden\, having been built atop a sanitary landfill\, has been proof throughout the past 60-plus years that beautiful things can come from trashy pasts. With this exhibit\, we further explore the concept\, as well as the education behind what we can ALL do to limit waste\, particularly our single-plastic use. \n\n\n\nWhile Washed Ashore is included with Garden Admission (free for Members\, up to $15 for non-members)\, the Washed Ashore Adventure Tour is an additional $29 per person.  \n\n\n\nThe Washed Ashore Adventure Tour includes a non-stop shuttle tour unlike anything Garden guests have ever experienced. To start\, guests will meet Defender of the Garden\, Sage\, or the spirited and mischievous Blossom. Both characters take turns hosting the tour\, providing humor and fun along the way. The whole experience is about 45 minutes\, including an exclusive photo opportunity at one of the sculptures. Lastly\, tour guests get to take home a reusable SCBG water bottle to help reduce their carbon footprint. Tours are offered Friday through Sunday. \n\n\n\nPlease note\, these sculptures are works of art. Those who purchase the Butterfly Feeding Experience for an additional $6 can choose from a flower vial or ring filled with nectar to use while inside the pavilion to help entice butterflies to come closer to them for the optimum and most immersive experience. Species inside the pavilion include the fan-favorite blue morpho\, owl butterflies\, malachite\, rusty tipped page\, gold rim swallowtail\, ruby spotted swallowtail\, giant swallowtail\, orange tiger and more. This year’s exhibit also includes a new beautiful photo opportunity and a chance for guests to help support the exhibit and our new Pollination Garden through our Wall of Wings.$6 for Members and up to $23 for non-members\, which includes price of general admission. Come join us for the second season of our Sunset Series\, a weekly event that brings the Garden to life after hours on Thursdays from 5:30 to 8 p.m. starting May 25! \n\n\n\nAfter a sold-out series last year\, our Sunset Series is heading back! Guests can roam our 87 acres or hang out at Dottie’s\, our new food and beverage concessions station near the Living Wall\, where they can sip on a cocktail or grab a bite to eat while enjoying the Garden’s natural beauty\, yard games and music. The young at heart will be entertained in our Kids’ Zone by the fun and energetic Ms. Allison – think parachutes\, obstacle courses\, lawn bowling\, bubbles and more! While we provide the fun\, parents still provide the supervision.* And\, of course\, the cherry on top is each week’s musical performance (see line up below). The musicians will do two 45-minute sets. \n\n\n\nNEW FOR 2023: Want an exclusive experience? SUMMARY:Washed Ashore Art to Save the Sea Exhibit and Adventure Tours
DESCRIPTION:Trash is making a splash in the Garden this spring. Come see beautiful sculptures made of “trashy” finds\, explore our “trashy” past\, and learn how we can all be a little less “trashy” with the Garden’s latest exhibit\, Washed Ashore – Art to Save the Sea. Sixteen giant creatures made from beach debris have washed ashore and landed at the Garden through September. \n\n\n\nWashed Ashore – Art to Save the Sea is a non-profit organization committed to combating plastic pollution through art and education. These 16 sculptures\, which consist primarily of sea creatures\, were built by the organization and its volunteers to inspire and spark positive changes in consumer habits. The Garden\, having been built atop a sanitary landfill\, has been proof throughout the past 60-plus years that beautiful things can come from trashy pasts. With this exhibit\, we further explore the concept\, as well as the education behind what we can ALL do to limit waste\, particularly our single-plastic use. \n\n\n\nWhile Washed Ashore is included with Garden Admission (free for Members\, up to $15 for non-members)\, the Washed Ashore Adventure Tour is an additional $29 per person.  \n\n\n\nThe Washed Ashore Adventure Tour includes a non-stop shuttle tour unlike anything Garden guests have ever experienced. To start\, guests will meet Defender of the Garden\, Sage\, or the spirited and mischievous Blossom. Both characters take turns hosting the tour\, providing humor and fun along the way. The whole experience is about 45 minutes\, including an exclusive photo opportunity at one of the sculptures. Lastly\, tour guests get to take home a reusable SCBG water bottle to help reduce their carbon footprint. Tours are offered Friday through Sunday. \n\n\n\nPlease note\, these sculptures are works of art. Those who purchase the Butterfly Feeding Experience for an additional $6 can choose from a flower vial or ring filled with nectar to use while inside the pavilion to help entice butterflies to come closer to them for the optimum and most immersive experience. Species inside the pavilion include the fan-favorite blue morpho\, owl butterflies\, malachite\, rusty tipped page\, gold rim swallowtail\, ruby spotted swallowtail\, giant swallowtail\, orange tiger and more. This year’s exhibit also includes a new beautiful photo opportunity and a chance for guests to help support the exhibit and our new Pollination Garden through our Wall of Wings.$6 for Members and up to $23 for non-members\, which includes price of general admission. Come join us for the second season of our Sunset Series\, a weekly event that brings the Garden to life after hours on Thursdays from 5:30 to 8 p.m. starting May 25! \n\n\n\nAfter a sold-out series last year\, our Sunset Series is heading back! Guests can roam our 87 acres or hang out at Dottie’s\, our new food and beverage concessions station near the Living Wall\, where they can sip on a cocktail or grab a bite to eat while enjoying the Garden’s natural beauty\, yard games and music. The young at heart will be entertained in our Kids’ Zone by the fun and energetic Ms. Allison – think parachutes\, obstacle courses\, lawn bowling\, bubbles and more! While we provide the fun\, parents still provide the supervision.* And\, of course\, the cherry on top is each week’s musical performance (see line up below). The musicians will do two 45-minute sets. \n\n\n\nNEW FOR 2023: Want an exclusive experience? Buy a VIP ticket and get premium seating area (still bring a blanket or lawn chair)\, access to the VIP bar\, one free non-alcoholic Butterfly Palmer per ticketholder\, unlimited access to SOAR – Tropical Butterflies throughout the night and early entry into the Garden (5 p.m. rather than 5:30 p.m.). \n\n\n\nThis is truly an event for all\, and we invite you to come and make the night yours! SUMMARY:Washed Ashore Art to Save the Sea Exhibit and Adventure Tours
DESCRIPTION:Trash is making a splash in the Garden this spring. Come see beautiful sculptures made of “trashy” finds\, explore our “trashy” past\, and learn how we can all be a little less “trashy” with the Garden’s latest exhibit\, Washed Ashore – Art to Save the Sea. Sixteen giant creatures made from beach debris have washed ashore and landed at the Garden through September. \n\n\n\nWashed Ashore – Art to Save the Sea is a non-profit organization committed to combating plastic pollution through art and education. These 16 sculptures\, which consist primarily of sea creatures\, were built by the organization and its volunteers to inspire and spark positive changes in consumer habits. The Garden\, having been built atop a sanitary landfill\, has been proof throughout the past 60-plus years that beautiful things can come from trashy pasts. With this exhibit\, we further explore the concept\, as well as the education behind what we can ALL do to limit waste\, particularly our single-plastic use. \n\n\n\nWhile Washed Ashore is included with Garden Admission (free for Members\, up to $15 for non-members)\, the Washed Ashore Adventure Tour is an additional $29 per person.  \n\n\n\nThe Washed Ashore Adventure Tour includes a non-stop shuttle tour unlike anything Garden guests have ever experienced. To start\, guests will meet Defender of the Garden\, Sage\, or the spirited and mischievous Blossom. Both characters take turns hosting the tour\, providing humor and fun along the way. The whole experience is about 45 minutes\, including an exclusive photo opportunity at one of the sculptures. Lastly\, tour guests get to take home a reusable SCBG water bottle to help reduce their carbon footprint. Tours are offered Friday through Sunday. \n\n\n\nPlease note\, these sculptures are works of art. SUMMARY:SOAR Tropical Butterflies at South Coast Botanic Garden Open Now through August 31
DESCRIPTION:South Coast Botanic Garden’s most popular exhibit\, SOAR – Tropical Butterflies\, is returning this May for its third consecutive year.This year\, not only will guests be surrounded by hundreds of tropical butterflies inside the pavilion\, but they have the opportunity to purchase a ticket that includes our new Butterfly Feeding Experience. Those who purchase the Butterfly Feeding Experience for an additional $6 can choose from a flower vial or ring filled with nectar to use while inside the pavilion to help entice butterflies to come closer to them for the optimum and most immersive experience. Species inside the pavilion include the fan-favorite blue morpho\, owl butterflies\, malachite\, rusty tipped page\, gold rim swallowtail\, ruby spotted swallowtail\, giant swallowtail\, orange tiger and more. This year’s exhibit also includes a new beautiful photo opportunity and a chance for guests to help support the exhibit and our new Pollination Garden through our Wall of Wings.$6 for Members and up to $23 for non-members\, which includes price of general admission.
