DESCRIPTION:Angels Gate Cultural Center and the Marine Mammal Care Center are collaborating on monthly Science & Art Workshops! Held every first Saturday of the month\, these events are free and all ages are welcome. \n\n\n\nThis month\, join us for an illuminating workshop on bioluminescence\, black lights and the natural world around us! Learn from the staff at the MMCC about the science behind why some special plants and animals glow. Then\, make your own blacklight watercolor projects you can customize with San Pedro inspired stencils! \n\n\n\nThis workshop is open to a maximum of 50 participants; all supplies will be provided. \n\n\n\nPlease meet us in the classroom at MMCC before 1 PM to claim your reservation. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. \n\n\n\nHave questions or want to request any accommodations that would make this event more accessible for you? DESCRIPTION:Dive into an enriching family experience led by our experts\, where you and your loved ones will embark on a captivating one-hour journey delving into ocean conservation\, marine mammals\, and beyond. This event is free and includes access to MMCC’s full visitor experience\, including patient viewing and our interactive exhibit hall. \n\n\n\nThis month\, join experts from the Marine Mammal Care Center as you learn about the biology and anatomy of the squid. This is a common food of our local marine mammals and something we occasionally feed our patients.
