SUMMARY:Amateur Radio Technician License Test Preparation Class
DESCRIPTION:The first two Saturdays in November\, the Palos Verdes Amateur Radio Club will conduct a two part free class at Hess Park to prepare interested folks to take the FCC Technician Class Amateur Radio Test to become a Amateur Radio operator. Amateur radio operators on the peninsula provide public service activities such as communication support for local races events\, as well as emergency communications during disasters such as earthquakes and storms when standard communications channels are overloaded and inoperative. \n\n\n\nClass takes place over two Saturdays\, Part 1 is Saturday\, November 7th\, and Part 2 is Saturday\, November 14th\, both sessions run from 9:30am to 12:30pm. \n\n\n\nTo reserve a spot contact Steven Collins (KI6TEQ) at skibear@mindspring.com
