DESCRIPTION:Strides in Recovery\, the nation’s largest sober walking and running program\, invites the local community to participate in the Palos Verdes Trails 5K\, an inspiring fundraiser bringing together individuals from all walks of life to support those in recovery from addiction. This event is scheduled for September 29 at Ernie Howlett Park\, promising a morning of camaraderie\, accomplishment\, and the beauty of the area’s horse trails. \n\n\n\nThe Palos Verdes Trails 5K will include participants from Strides in Recovery’s signature program\, clients from addiction treatment programs across Los Angeles County who are using running to build physical\, mental\, and emotional resilience. They will run alongside hundreds of local community members\, symbolizing the power of solidarity and collective support for people in recovery. \n\n\n\n“Our program is about so much more than running\,” says Leslie Gold\, Executive Director of Strides in Recovery. “It’s about helping people rebuild their lives. We’re excited to have the local community come out and enjoy the scenic horse trails with us\, celebrating not only fitness but also the strength\, courage\, and commitment it takes to overcome addiction.” \n\n\n\nRunners and walkers alike are welcome.
