This beloved South Bay tradition is a family-friendly day of music\, games and civic awards. For hundreds of residents this event is a highlight of their 4th of July festivities and there’s no better place to celebrate our nation’s independence than on the picturesque playing fields of Malaga Cove School overlooking the blue Pacific. All festivities at Malaga Cove School\, 300 Paseo Del Mar\, Palos Verdes Estates\, July 4th are funded by residents and online donations in any amount www.PVJuly4.org are welcomed. \n\n\n\nThis year’s Hometown Heroes 2025 Honoree is Pete Villani. We will also be remembering Palos Verdes’ Community Leader Les Fishman. \n\n\n\nSchedule of Events \n\n\n\n\n8:30 a.m. Apple Pie Entries Accepted for judging. DESCRIPTION:The Marine Mammal Care Center is open for public visitation Fridays\, Saturdays\, Sundays\, and Mondays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. They are closed to public visitation Tuesdays\, Wednesdays and Thursdays. During your visit\, you will get to see seal and sea lion patients\, enjoy various exhibits\, join a scheduled lecture or activity\, and learn from our experienced volunteer docents. You can also do some shopping in our gift store with all proceeds supporting the care and protection of marine mammals and our shared ocean. \n\n\n\nThe Marine Mammal Care Center is proud to offer tours in American Sign Language with a Deaf Guide. To book with a Deaf Guide\, please contact dbader@marinemammalcare.org to coordinate a time and date.Tickets are free (a $5 donation per person is appreciated) and must be reserved online in advance.
