DESCRIPTION:Summer Sunday Sounds is back! This Summer favorite has been a Neighborhood Church staple for many years. This free concert series is perfect for the summer and features local musicians on our seaside patio. Join us for a BYO Picnic at 5:30PM and Concert at 6:30PM. \n\n\n\nNo tickets or reservations are required— just pack a picnic\, grab a few friends\, come on down and enjoy the show! Seating is provided. The concerts are free and a freewill offering will be collected. \n\n\n\n“World’s Most Recorded Piper” Eric Rigler and multi-talented guitarist Dirk Freymuth join together to create a soundscape of Celtic spirit and energy. Drawing from haunting Irish melodies\, foot-stomping jigs & reels\, and highlights from their PBS TV Special Celtic Journeys: Songs & Soundtracks\, the duo produce a hearing-is-believing sonic experience. \n\n\n\nThe show features Eric performing on a seldom-seen Celtic wonder\, the uilleann pipes\, (the traditional bagpipes of Ireland)—a complicated and evocative ancient instrument capable of producing sounds from mournful and sublime to euphoric. With Eric on pipes and whistles and Dirk on acoustic guitars\, the ensemble performs not only traditional Irish music but select themes from Eric’s recording career such as the current STARZ Channel hit series\, OUTLANDER\, Tom Hanks & Paul Newman’s THE ROAD TO PERDITION\, and excerpts from Eric’s solos with the London Symphony Orchestra on the Oscar-winning films\, BRAVEHEART and TITANIC. \n\n\n\nEric Rigler’s legendary 50-year career on the bagpipes is world-famous.
