Founded in 1925\, Torrance Memorial has grown from a small community hospital into a leading regional medical center\, consistently ranked among the top 3% of hospitals in California. \n\n\n\nThe Community Days event\, held in a 16\,000-square-foot tent on the medical center campus\, invites the public to explore historical exhibits\, including a time capsule\, and vintage automobiles\, while also engaging with cutting-edge medical technology\, hands-on health screenings\, and career development opportunities. Guests can experience live demonstrations of robotic surgery\, advanced stroke care\, and life-saving medical devices\, as well as participate in CPR demonstrations and wellness assessments. \n\n\n\nWith entertainment spanning music through the decades\, delicious food\, commemorative gear\, and activities for all ages—including a stuffed animal repair station for young visitors—this celebration honors a century of healthcare excellence while looking ahead to the future. \n\n\n\nJoin us as we celebrate 100 years of service\, innovation\, and community care! \n\n\n\nWhen: April 26-27 from 10am-3pm \n\n\n\nLocated on the Torrance Memorial Campus inside the big white tent in the Skypark parking lot.

DESCRIPTION:The annual Music in the Garden featuring young musicians from South Bay area schools will take place on Saturday\, April 26th\, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the South Coast Botanic Garden. The event is sponsored and organized by the Peninsula Committee Los Angeles Philharmonic. \n\n\n\nMusic in the Garden provides an opportunity for student orchestras and choral ensembles to perform and showcase their talent. Schools that will be performing include Palos Verdes High School\, Palos Verdes Intermediate School\, Palos Verdes Peninsula High School\, Redondo Union High School\, and Torrance South High School. \n\n\n\nThe Peninsula Committee Los Angeles Philharmonic\, founded in 1952\, is one of 11 Affiliate Committees whose volunteers support the mission of the LA Philharmonic through fundraising\, youth music education\, and fostering the love of music in the community. Our members are ambassadors for music from the Palos Verdes Peninsula and the South Bay. \n\n\n\nFree with admission to the garden. Reservations required.
