DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a laid-back evening of music and art at this new First Thursday event\, with your hosts\, local musicians Chris and Emily Huff. September features live music by multi-platinum songwriter Kevin Fisher and art by fiNdings artists Camilla Townsend\, Alan Johnson and Henry Krusoe. Live Music starts at 6:30pm. No-host bar open. Outside food is welcome. Free ($10 donation suggested.) \n\n\n\nChris and Emily Huff can be found around town harmonizing as a father-daughter duo or performing solo. They are known for their Texas-tinged Americana covers and originals played at local hangouts like Lighthouse Cafe and Pedro festivals like Fleet Week. They also performed at the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium during the inaugural Arts Open San Pedro. \n\n\n\nKevin Fisher is a multi-platinum songwriter who has written for Rascal Flatts\, Sara Evans\, Uncle Kracker and many others. His music has been featured in TV and movies like True Blood\, Pretty Little Liars\, The Angriest Man In Brooklyn and The Frozen Ground. \n\n\n\nfiNdings Art Center\, in collaboration with Grand Vision’s Annex Arts Saloon\, presents: “Night of the Makers\,” featuring artists Camilla Townsend\, Alan Johnson and Henry Krusoe. \n\n\n\nArt includes paintings\, furniture and sculptures\, united by the artists’ love for community\, art and San Pedro. \n\n\n\n\nCamilla Townsend is a multimedia artist who paints portraits and nature scenes inspired by poetry and the world around her. She was deeply influenced by her mentors\, Annette Ciketic and Corita Kent.\n\n\n\nAlan Johnson is a self-taught woodworker who creates original furniture and\, more recently\, sculptures\, all with an emphasis on organic forms. His work has received top prizes at the PV Art Center and at many Southern California woodworking competitions.\n\n\n\nHenry Krusoe is an Otis College graduate and has been an Angels Gate Cultural Center resident artist since 2019\, creating multimedia artwork spanning analog and digital formats.
