DESCRIPTION:The City of Torrance is proud to present the 4th of July Fireworks Show 2023! Attendance will be limited at select Civic Center Locations for viewing. Please check back for updates or subscribe to TorranceAlerts for the latest information. \n\n\n\nViewing locations are first come\, first served at the following locations (Click here for map): \n\n\n\nWest parking lot of the LA County Court House – 825 Maple Ave \n\n\n\nThe LA Galaxy Sports Complex – 555 Maple Ave \n\n\n\nThe LA Galaxy Sports Complex is a synthetic turf sports facility. The facility will be available for spectators beginning at 7 p.m.\, and will close approximately 30 minutes after the fireworks show is over. The field lights will be on until 5 minutes before the fireworks begin\, and will come back on immediately following the show so that spectators can gather their belongings and exit safely. \n\n\n\nTickets will not be issued for this year’s fireworks show. Spectators must be compliant with the rules of the facility at all times. There is a maximum capacity as identified by the Torrance Fire Marshall so we encourage you to get there on-time to enter. \n\n\n\nIf you would like to view the fireworks show from the LA Galaxy Sports Complex you are encouraged to bring a blanket and chairs with round bottom feet (i.e.\, beach chairs) to sit on the turf. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Summer Sunday Sounds concert series! These free concerts take place over the summer months and are open to everyone! Bring your own picnic and join us at 5:30 before the show starts at 6:30. Our July concert features Gravity180\, comprised of Clydene Jackson\, Oliver Brown and Harold Payne. \n\n\n\nWith ties to Patti Labelle\, Van Morrison\, Fleetwood Mac\, KC and the Sunshine Band and many more notable acts\, you own’t want to miss Gravity180’s diverse musical style!A freewill offering will be collected to support future concerts. Seating is provided for both the picnic and the concert\, but you are invited to bring a blanket to have your picnic on our new (artificial) lawn! \n\n\n\nClydene is well known in the music industry as a First-call session singer\, twice recognized with the MVP Female Vocalist Award from the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences. Songs she has written have been recorded by Natalie Cole and Barbara Mandrell. Her voice can be heard on recordings by Rod Stewart\, Barbra Streisand\, Patti LaBelle\, and others. \n\n\n\nHarold is an internationally renowned singer\, songwriter and performer. He has well over 100 recordings of his songs by artists such as Peter\, Paul & Mary\, Patti LaBelle\, Rod Stewart\, and Snoop Dog just to name a few. He has opened concerts for the likes of Van Morrison\, Kenny Loggins\, and Israel Kamakawiwso’ole. \n\n\n\nOliver was one of the original members of KC and The Sunshine Band. He has recorded or toured with such artists as Jermaine Jackson\, Billy Preston\, Al Jarreau\, Natalie Cole\, The Beach Boys\, and Fleetwood Mac. \n\n\n\nTogether their musical style is diverse. Each song has a refreshing and unique flavor. Gravity 180 prides itself on creating music with a positive message that reaches people of all ages.

Come join us for the second season of our Sunset Series\, a weekly event that brings the Garden to life after hours on Thursdays from 5:30 to 8 p.m. starting May 25! \n\n\n\nAfter a sold-out series last year\, our Sunset Series is heading back! Guests can roam our 87 acres or hang out at Dottie’s\, our new food and beverage concessions station near the Living Wall\, where they can sip on a cocktail or grab a bite to eat while enjoying the Garden’s natural beauty\, yard games and music. The young at heart will be entertained in our Kids’ Zone by the fun and energetic Ms. Allison – think parachutes\, obstacle courses\, lawn bowling\, bubbles and more! While we provide the fun\, parents still provide the supervision.* And\, of course\, the cherry on top is each week’s musical performance (see line up below). The musicians will do two 45-minute sets. \n\n\n\nNEW FOR 2023: Want an exclusive experience? DESCRIPTION:This is an ALL Class Reunion for all alumni\, faculty\, and staff that attended or worked at Miraleste High School between 1968 and 1991. \n\n\n\nWe are going back to the Miraleste campus for the first time since 1991 to hold alumni sporting events\, reconnect with classmates\, host individual class reunions\, honor and remember those who are no longer with us\, to be entertained by live bands comprised of Miraleste Alumni\, enjoy food and drinks\, tour the campus and use of the facilities for the day\, and a Homecoming Dance to cap off the event. \n\n\n\n. \n\n\n\nEnjoy \n\n\n\n\nAlumni Games: pickleball\, soccer\, football\, basketball etc.\n\n\n\nPhoto Booths & class specific events/areas\n\n\n\nLive Bands: Miraleste Alumni will be playing live!\n\n\n\nCampus Tours: We have the full campus access!
