Come play with us!Taiko is a Japanese traditional drumming practice that\, over the last several decades\, has become a globalphenomenon. Since 2013\, Grand Vision has partnered with leading taiko instructors to bring the art form tothe South Bay.Taiko Artist Man Man Mui guides participants toward a repertoire of drumming techniques and patterns.Sessions include developing rhythmic sensibility\, body awareness\, breath and strength training as studentsmake music together as a team. \n\n\n\nWinter Session Mondays at 6:30 PM February 9 – March 30:Team Taiko is open to all skill levels and abilities\, from beginners to seasoned musicians\, and fees are on asliding scale. Recommended for ages 12 and up\, children must participate with a guardian or have a signedparticipation waiver. \n\n\n\nTeam Taiko classes are broken into 8-week sessions\, with a different pattern taught during each session. We are so excited to be able to gather and mingle with some of the most awesome people on our Peninsula\, our educators. Honoring Peninsula teachers is one the great privileges of Rotarians here at the the PVP Rotary Club. We will introduce you to the nine educators of merit and distinction that will be honored as Educators of the Year. \n\n\n\nThe Palos Verdes Peninsula Rotary Club has had the privilege of hosting this event since 2009.  \n\n\n\nWe invite members of the community to join us for this year’s Educator of the Year.
