The Garden is open seven days a week from 8am to 5pm. \n\n\n\nTheir visit to the Garden will transform our 87 acres into a playful\, storybook landscape\, where guests can wander beside these charismatic creatures and discover them tucked into immersive locations across the grounds. Step into their world\, see the Garden through their curious eyes\, and let the Trolls add you to their ongoing study of humanity! \n\n\n\nTroll TreksGrab your walking stick and join us for a Troll Trek – a whimsical and wonderful walking tour! This ticket includes an exclusive guided tour of Thomas Dambo’s TROLLS: A Field Study as well as General Admission. SUMMARY:Art on the Patio Watercolor Demo with Margaret Mohr at PV Art Center
DESCRIPTION:Spring has arrived on the Peninsula\, and what better way to celebrate than watching flowers come to life…twice? \n\n\n\nOn Saturday\, April 18th\, from 11 am to 4 pm\, watercolor artist Margaret Mohr joins us for a free Art on the Patio demo\, sharing her unique techniques of mixing color directly on the page and layering watercolors to create the soft\, luminous florals she’s known for. \n\n\n\nMargaret’s path to fine art is a story in itself. After more than 40 years in commercial art\, designing everything from illustrations to comic books\,she discovered that watercolor was the medium that let her tell a different kind of story. Today\, her paintings celebrate the beauty of the natural world as an expression of faith\, and her new book\, Heaven Sent\, Paintings by Margaret Mohr\, brings that vision together in gorgeous detail. Copies will be available in the Artists’ Studio Gift Shop and Gallery Store at Palos Verdes Art Center\, perfect for a gift or a little inspiration to take home. \n\n\n\nAnd there is more: Margaret’s demo coincides with the annual Orchid Show in the Palos Verdes Art Center Atrium. So you can browse stunning orchids\, maybe bring one home\, and then step out to the patio to learn how to paint it. That’s what we call a full-circle Saturday.
