To make the Swap a success\, follow the “bestie rule”: Would I give this to my best friend? \n\n\n\nItems may be dropped off at the Malaga Cove & Miraleste Libraries February 16 – March 3. Do not put Swap items in the book drop. \n\n\n\nReceive a VIP entry ticket when you donate! \n\n\n\n\n10am-11am: VIP entry: anyone who donated items can enter the Swap by showing the entry ticket they received when dropping off donations.\n\n\n\n11am-2pm: Doors open to all participants.\n\n\n\n\nPlease note: donations may be turned away based on staff discretion. \n\n\n\nWhat to DonateOf course we can’t possibly know all the awesome stuff you may bring in\, but if you’re wondering what kind of Swap this is\, let this be your guide: \n\n\n\nNew or gently used arts & crafts supplies including\, but certainly not limited to: \n\n\n\n\nMARK MAKING: inks\, pencils\, paints\, brushes\, pastels\, erasers\, chalks\, charcoals\, markers\n\n\n\nFIBER: yarn\, fabric\, thread\, embroidery supplies\, knitting needles/crochet hooks\, thread\, patterns\, ribbon\, quilting tools\, dressmaking\, sewing machines\, sewing notions\n\n\n\nTOOLS: scissors\, glue guns\, soldering irons\, craft knives\, hole punches\, easels\, photo equipment\, pottery tools\, rulers\n\n\n\nSUBSTRATES: canvas\, watercolor paper\, drawing paper\, scratch boards\, panels\, sketchbooks\, construction paper\, newsprint\n\n\n\nEXPENDIBLES: glue\, tape\, butcher paper\, sandpaper\, cotton swabs\, toothpicks\, popsicle sticks\, google eyes\,\n\n\n\nCRAFTS: beads\, jewelry findings\, containers of all sorts\, artificial flowers\, foam\, felt\, scrapbooking supplies\, stamps\, ink pads\n\n\n\nBOOKS: art/craft instruction books\, art/craft magazines\, patterns\, and store bought crafting kits\n\n\n\n\nWhat NOT to Bring \n\n\n\n\nIf it stinks\, we don’t want it.\n\n\n\nPlease don’t bring anything moldy\, dirty\, super heavy\, or in need of repair. We love the old\, cool\, vintage stuff\, but if it isn’t functional\, please leave it at home.\n\n\n\nThis Swap is not for antiques or curios\, it’s about usable crafting and art making materials and supplies.\n\n\n\nArt supplies for kids – all supplies donated towards the Swap should be for adults.\n\n\n\nWe do love fabric but we can’t use your small scraps (less than a fat quarter)\, cut up t-shirts\, stuffing from your sofa\, old pillows or clothing.\n\n\n\nWe also ask that you leave the hazardous materials in your garage\, including oil-based solvents\, house paint\, dry paint tubes\, stuff that is crazy heavy\, etc.\n\n\n\nIf it cannot be used immediately and without rehabilitation as a crafting material\, supply\, or tool\, please don’t bring it.
