Pastel Society of Southern California Gallery Exhibition Opens
May 1 @ 10:00 am – 5:00 pm PDT
The show features original paintings by nationally recognized pastel artists, as well as local PSSC members from the Palos Verdes Peninsula, the South Bay, the greater Southern California area and nationwide. A total of 85 artworks, including landscapes, seascapes, still life, florals, animals and portraits/figures will be on display, most of which are available for purchase.
“As we celebrate our society’s 16 th anniversary, we are excited to present the 16th Annual Members’ Exhibition and Art Fair to the art lovers of the Palos Verdes Peninsula and surrounding South Bay communities,” said Christopher Stillians, President, PSSC. “The focus of our society, founded in 2009, is to educate the public about the luminous medium of pastel. Our society continues to grow and includes members from all over Southern California as well as national and international communities.”
The show’s ocean view galleries are located on the upper level of the Riviera UMC complex. Free parking is available in the parking lot behind the building. Gallery hours are Thursday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., starting Thursday, May 1 and ending at 12 noon on May 10.
The PSSC is a 501(c)-3 nonprofit organization and member of the International Association of Pastel Societies.
