Perched along the Pacific coastline, Terranea Resort invites local and destination guests to celebrate Mother’s Day with an array of oceanfront dining experiences designed to honor mothers and the important women in their lives. From an elegant ballroom brunch to refined prix-fixe dining and relaxed coastal buffets, each offering is thoughtfully crafted for a memorable day of appreciation.

Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet in the Palos Verdes Grand Ballroom
Sunday, May 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. with live entertainment

Set against sweeping ocean views, the Palos Verdes Grand Ballroom brunch features an expansive buffet highlighting seasonal flavors and premium selections. Guests may begin with a Smoked Salmon & Bagel Bar, seasonal salads and a chilled seafood display featuring jumbo shrimp, king crab legs, oysters and ceviche. Additional offerings include sushi rolls, a charcuterie and cheese grazing table, made-to-order omelets, a pancake station and Asian kitchen favorites.

Entrées range from slow-roasted prime rib and honey mustard glazed ham to chicken cacciatore and pan-seared sea bass with spring vegetable ragout. Seasonal sides include roasted sunchokes, baby carrots and grilled artichokes. A lavish dessert display completes the experience with items such as ube tiramisu, mocha trifle, pistachio lemon white chocolate domes and made-to-order flambéed funnel cakes.

Pricing starts at $145 per adult; $64 for children ages 5 to 12; $20 for children ages 3 to 4; ages 2 and under complimentary. Pricing is exclusive of taxes, service charge and fees. Reservations are available online.

mar’sel’s Mother’s Day Three-Course Celebration
Sunday, May 10, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with live entertainment

Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, mar’sel presents a refined three-course menu by Chef Fabio Ugoletti. First-course selections include Smoked Salmon Caesar, Pea Soup with lobster medallion, Hamachi Tartare, Asparagus Tips with poached egg or Burrata with grilled vegetables. Second-course choices feature Lobster Agnolotti, Branzino “Isolana Style,” Wagyu Ribeye, Mary’s Brick Chicken with artichoke and tabbouleh, or Cavatelli with lamb ragù and seasonal truffle. Desserts include Coconut Panna Cotta, Strawberry Tarte with pistachio gelato, Framboise Mousse and Peach Melba. A three-course children’s menu is also available.

This relaxed oceanfront buffet includes breakfast favorites, seafood specialties and carving station selections. Highlights include smoked salmon mini bagels, avocado toast bites, artisan pastries, omelets and kitchen classics such as steak and eggs, crab Benedict and crepes. The seafood bar features oysters, shrimp cocktail, lobster tails, ceviche and poke, while carving selections include prime rib, rack of lamb and roasted duck. A decadent dessert display rounds out the experience.

The evening buffet offers a grazing table, seasonal salads, seafood bar, hot appetizers, holiday entrees, freshly prepared stone oven pizzas, and carving station selections including prime rib, rack of lamb, Tomahawk steaks and roasted duck. Desserts include vanilla brioche bread pudding, espresso caramel mousse cake and cheesecake selections.

More Mother’s Day Dining Specials at Terranea Resort

Additional Mother’s Day dining specials will also be available throughout Terranea Resort. At sea beans, guests can enjoy a Mom’s Meatloaf Sandwich along with themed desserts from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Nelson’s will feature jumbo shrimp pasta, a specialty cocktail and dessert from 12 to 9 p.m. Meanwhile, bashi will offer a sushi hand roll, roasted hamachi collar and a seasonal cocktail. At The Lobby Bar, guests may savor a King Louie Salad paired with a specialty cocktail, available from 12 to 9 p.m.
