This event is scheduled for September 29 at Ernie Howlett Park\, promising a morning of camaraderie\, accomplishment\, and the beauty of the area’s horse trails. \n\n\n\nThe Palos Verdes Trails 5K will include participants from Strides in Recovery’s signature program\, clients from addiction treatment programs across Los Angeles County who are using running to build physical\, mental\, and emotional resilience. They will run alongside hundreds of local community members\, symbolizing the power of solidarity and collective support for people in recovery. \n\n\n\n“Our program is about so much more than running\,” says Leslie Gold\, Executive Director of Strides in Recovery. “It’s about helping people rebuild their lives. You can also do some shopping in our gift store with all proceeds supporting the care and protection of marine mammals and our shared ocean. \n\n\n\nThe Marine Mammal Care Center is proud to offer tours in American Sign Language with a Deaf Guide.
