DESCRIPTION:If you feel the Earth shaking or hear rumbling near South Coast Botanic Garden\, don’t worry – it’s just the trolls arriving. Thomas Dambo TROLLS: Save the Humans will have its West Coast premiere at the Garden on October 1 featuring the acclaimed artist’s signature folklore-inspired troll sculptures built from reclaimed materials. These six larger-than-life trolls are meeting here in our 87 acres to try to help us humans out. You see\, hundreds of trolls came together at “Trolliefolkyfest” to discuss their favorite topic – us humans. While they know we mean well\, we keep failing them by making questionable choices\, like cutting down forests\, emptying rivers\, and putting humans – and them – in danger. While most of the trolls think we are past saving\, these SIX think they can help us. DESCRIPTION:Start your Holiday season with “The Nutcracker”\, presented by the Peninsula School of Performing Arts. A beautiful blend of professionals\, pre-professionals\, adults\, and young dancers come together to delight audiences of all ages with this rich rendition of the classical ballet. \n\n\n\nIn this Christmas classic Herr Drosselmeier weaves an enchanted story through the dreams of a young girl\, Clara\, and her Nutcracker. Her travels take her to the Battle of the Nutcracker and the Mouse King then to the Land of Snow\, and on to the Kingdom of the Sweets\, where Clara is greeted by the ever-so-beautiful Sugar Plum Fairy\, danced by Matisse Love and Hannah Sheriff \n\n\n\nMusic by Tchaikovsky and Choreography by Tita Boulger\, Vera Ninkovic\, Marina Kalinina\, and Brianna Fields\, The Nutcracker is a treat for the entire family. \n\n\n\nThe performance will be held at the Palos Verdes Performing Arts Norris Theater on November 17 at 7 p.m.\, November 18 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.\, and November 19 at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tickets are $40 for adults and $30 for Children 17 and under. The theater is located at 27570 Norris Center Drive\, Rolling Hills Estates\, CA 90274.
