DESCRIPTION:Now back on July 4th\, join us as we celebrate the 30th annual 4th of July 5K and Firecracker Dash in Redondo Beach at 8:00am! All participants will receive an Independence Day run t-shirt. There will be chip timing\, age division awards\, and cash prizes to the top three overall male and female runners in the 5K run. All kids dash finishers receive medals too! \n\n\n\nThe Firecracker Dash for the Gold heats are separated by age groups and start approximately at the times listed below. \n\n\n\n9:30am Ages 8-9\, Distance: 1/4 Mile9:40am Ages 6-7\, Distance: 1/4 Mile9:45am Ages 4-5\, Distance: “Dash” \n\n\n\nWe will be having a Costume Contest at the stage in the Coffee Cartel parking lot from 7:15 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Please enter with your patriotic best for a chance to win the following prizes: \n\n\n\n1st Place – $100 gift certificate to the Village Runner2nd Place – $75 gift certificate to the Village Runner3rd Place – $50 gift certificate to the Village Runner \n\n\n\nFoundation and other local schools and running programs. DESCRIPTION:The City of Torrance is proud to present the 4th of July Fireworks Show 2023! Attendance will be limited at select Civic Center Locations for viewing. Please check back for updates or subscribe to TorranceAlerts for the latest information. \n\n\n\nViewing locations are first come\, first served at the following locations (Click here for map): \n\n\n\nWest parking lot of the LA County Court House – 825 Maple Ave \n\n\n\nThe LA Galaxy Sports Complex – 555 Maple Ave \n\n\n\nThe LA Galaxy Sports Complex is a synthetic turf sports facility. The facility will be available for spectators beginning at 7 p.m.\, and will close approximately 30 minutes after the fireworks show is over. The field lights will be on until 5 minutes before the fireworks begin\, and will come back on immediately following the show so that spectators can gather their belongings and exit safely. \n\n\n\nTickets will not be issued for this year’s fireworks show. Spectators must be compliant with the rules of the facility at all times. There is a maximum capacity as identified by the Torrance Fire Marshall so we encourage you to get there on-time to enter. \n\n\n\nIf you would like to view the fireworks show from the LA Galaxy Sports Complex you are encouraged to bring a blanket and chairs with round bottom feet (i.e.\, beach chairs) to sit on the turf.
