SUMMARY:South Coast Rose Society Annual Show & Sale
DESCRIPTION:South Coast Rose Society is having their annual Exhibition of Roses in the sun-filled Atrium at the Palos Verdes Art Center on April 29\, 2023\, from 10:00am to 4:00pm. This event is open to the public. Admission and parking are free. \n\n\n\nOur purpose is to inform the general public about all aspects of rose culture and historical sites with rose gardens in our area. Heritage and modern roses of all classes: Hybrid Teas\, floribundas\, climbers\, and hybrid musks\, David Austin roses\, miniatures\, polyanthas\, etc. will be accepted and shown. The public is invited to display their roses as well as SCRS members. Roses may be shown as singles\, groups of two or three\, or in bouquets. For those who bring roses\, setup starts at 9:00am. We will have vases for the roses and cards to use to identify them. If you don’t know a rose’s name an ARS Rosarian will be on site and available to help you identify your rose. \n\n\n\nSCRS feels this would be a good opportunity to remind\, not only the public\, but also families that we have wonderful open-air gardens and historical buildings that represent the history of our local area close by. We have invited three family friendly ranchos in our area – Los Alamitos\, Dominguez and Los Cerritos\, as well as the Banning Museum\, the Bembridge House and the Point Fermin Lighthouse to display their roses and literature for your pleasure. \n\n\n\nOur members and expert Consulting Rosarians will be available to answer any questions you may have about all aspects of growing roses. In addition\, demonstrations will be taking place. Also\, some special gardening tools\, rose books\, and roses will be available for purchase. \n\n\n\nCome join us and enjoy an extraordinary array of roses\, their incredible fragrance and colors along with information about local historical sites. \n\n\n\nWearing face masks is strongly encouraged when visiting PVAC.
