Checking in with PVPUSD Superintendent Dr. Cherniss
“Being a parent in Orange County where my kids are headed back to in-person class, while being a superintendent in LA County where our students are engaged in 100% remote learning has been quite a learning experience. My takeaway is that the importance of face to face interaction is invaluable.”
-Dr. Cherniss
Getting The Kids Involved
Dr. Cherniss and the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District’s Board of Education held a Virutal Town Hall Meeting on August 18 for Intermediate and High School Students to join Principals and Student Representatives for updates and questions regarding School Reopening Planning. Dr.Cherniss is starting a Superintendent Roundtable with Intermediate and High School Students to share with them their personal experiences going through school during a pandemic.

Story Time With Dr. Cherniss
In March right after in-person classes stopped, Dr. Cherniss started a storytime for elementary school kids. I”m reading one book everyday for all the boys and girls in PVPUSD and beyond! Happy reading!” says Cherniss on the Youtube channel he started for the kids.
