Maverick Farms recently participated in the Portuguese Bend National Horse Show (PBNHS). Under the guidance of Maverick Farms owner and trainer Linda Cooper and her barn team, riders worked hard over the past year training with their horses here on the Peninsula. By participating in the PBNHS riders had the opportunity to participate in a National Show in their hometown and the community was able to see them in action.

Karen Sarmast who is active in the local equestrian community and also a rider at Maverick Farms says, “I found great Joy attending the Portuguese Bend National Horse Show this year 2025! I got to cheer on my Team at Maverick Farms and was so excited to see them all shine. The PBNHS go out & beyond to welcome every barn in. It surely shows with the tidbits & snacks and the show helpers who are right there at our table, with great food, drinks. They all were so happy to serve us while watching the show. Every year I attend, PBNHS it keeps getting better! It’s such a nice family venue watching beautiful Horses at the National Horse Show in Southbay making it fun for all of the locals. We are lucky to have PBNHS in Southbay once a year just before the School Season starts. It has certainly added a lot of joy to our whole community and I am looking forward to next year!”

Amazing show and fantastic riders ! Karen is the best !
