Torrance Memorial Medical Center and Cancer Support Community South Bay Celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day

Torrance Memorial Medical Center, together with Cancer Support Community South Bay (CSC South Bay), joined in commemorating National Cancer Survivors Day on Sunday, June 2 with a Hawaiian luau themed celebration held at Torrance Memorial Hunt Cancer Center. The event honored cancer survivors, provided inspiration to those recently diagnosed, and was a gathering of support for families and outreach to the community.

More than 200 cancer survivors, their families and friends sporting Hawaiian attire were treated to healthy refreshments, crafts, wellness resources and more in a festive outdoor setting.  National Cancer Survivors Day marks a day of success for individuals who have a history of cancer. It aims to celebrate milestones and show the world that life after a cancer diagnosis can be fruitful, fulfilling and inspiring.
