PV Reads Community Event: Author Talk with Piper Huguley, Author of “American Daughters” & “By Her Own Design”

Join us for an author talk with Piper Huguley, author of “American Daughters” & “By Her Own Design”.
Ms. Huguley will discuss her books:
“American Daughters” a historical novel delves into the remarkable friendship of Portia Washington and Alice Roosevelt, the daughters of educator Booker T. Washington and President Teddy Roosevelt.
“By Her Own Design”, the incredible untold story of how Ann Lowe, a Black woman and granddaughter of slaves, rose above personal struggles and racial prejudice to design and create one of America’s most famous wedding dresses of all time for Jackie Kennedy.
