NAOMI PORTER: Taking the Lead in Innovating Education

In 2019, Naomi Porter founded EntrepreYOUership, a 501(c)3, to address educational equity and remove barriers to learning about entrepreneurship and financial literacy. Naomi oversees a team of over 200 people, whose average age is 16, who work in over 42 countries to host events, start-up funding competitions, financial book clubs and implement their curriculum.

Locally, Naomi serves on the Palos Verdes Peninsula High School, School Site Council and the PVPUSD Superintendent’s Roundtable. Regionally, Naomi is serving as a student advisor to the Los Angeles County Office of Education. Naomi was recently appointed by Governor Newsom to serve as a Student Board Member on the State Board of Education for the 2022-23 school year. Naomi is an Ashoka Young Changemaker, Ted Talk Speaker, Gold Award Girl Scout and Eagle Scout. She has been noted as a top innovator in her field by Forbes, Wharton, Business Insider, Prudential and Yahoo News.
